Library proxy
Configuring a Proxy access on your PC or browser, you can access electronic resources purchased by the University also when you are outside of the university premises.
To access via proxy, you need to have institutional credentials to access the other university services.

The Library Proxy responds to this address:
vpnbox.bib.uniurb.it
porta: 8080
Instructions for Windows
If you are using Edge or Google Chrome
Click on the icon with the three dots in the upper right corner and select "Settings"
Type "Proxy" in the search field
Select "Open computer proxy settings"
Under "Network & Internet" > "Proxy" select "Manual proxy setup"
Click on the "Configure" icon
Activate the "Use a proxy server" option
Enter the proxy IP address vpnbox.bib.uniurb.it and the port 8080
If you are using Mozilla Firefox
Click on the ≡ icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings"
Select "General"
Find "Network Settings" and click on the "Settings" icon
Select "Manual proxy configuration" and enter the HTTP proxy server address vpnbox.bib.uniurb.it and port 8080.
Check the box "Use this proxy for all protocols"
During browsing, the system will ask you access credentials (Username and Password). The Username should be followed by your group affiliation (@stud, @staff, @affiliate, etc.). For instance, for a student it will be: franca.rossi@stud.
Instructions for Mac
Settings for Mac are system configurations so they don't change depending on the browser
From the Apple menu, select "System Preferences"
Choose "Network"
Click on the "Advanced" button.
Select the "Proxies" tab
Choose the "Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS)" protocol
In the Secure Web Proxy field, enter the address "vpnbox.bib.uniurb.it" followed by ":" and the port number "8080".
Confirm the settings by clicking "OK"
During browsing, the system will ask for your access credentials (Username and Password). The Username should be followed by your group affiliation (@stud, @staff, @affiliate, etc.). For instance, for a student, it will be: franca.rossi@stud.
WARNING
The proxy server grants access to online resources outside university premises but precludes access to and use of normal browsing settings: it is recommended to disable it once the consultation session is finished.
