Remote access through a Proxy

To access the digital resources provided by the University of Urbino outside of campus, it is necessary to activate the library proxy.

Loan and renewal

Faculty of the University of Urbino can borrow up to 100 books simultaneously for a period of 360 days. 

The loans can be renewed for an additional 360 days: the request can be made, in person, by email, by phone or through the Ask the Library service.

Reserve a book

If the book you would like to borrow is already on loan to another user, you can reserve it by contacting the library staff in person or through the Ask the Library service.

Interlibrary loan of books and scientific papers

It is possible to request from other libraries, both in Italy and abroad, books and scientific papers not owned by Urbino University libraries.

This service is usually free of charge, however sometimes can be a reimbursement of the expenses is needed.

The service is available by contacting the library staff  in person or through the Ask the Library service.

Purchase recommendation 

To suggest the purchase of monographs, please send an email to the following address: acquisti.sba@uniurb.it.

For suggestions regarding new subscriptions to periodicals and databases send, by the end of August, an email to cabup@uniurb.it

Requests will be reviewed by Commissione di Ateneo per le Biblioteche e l'University Press.

Bibliometrics

The University of Urbino's Settore Bibliotecario di Ateneo offers a support service regarding citation indexes and criteria for evaluating research products providing the results for individual bibliometric measurements and explaining the main bibliometric systems.

Real-time accessible bibliographic resources on Moodle platform

Using the Curriculum Builder tool on the Blended Learning platform each teaching module can display a bibliography of ebooks and articles available in Full-Text for the University of Urbino. Using this tool the students can access the listed material listed in real-time and in compliance with copyright regulations.

Transformative agreements for publishing in Open Access

The University of Urbino, through the negotiation activities of the CRUI group Care, signed transformative agreements with some major publishers. Transformative agreements are a transitional solution to the Open Science model and are already operative in several European countries.

Library services presentiation to the Urbino University's students
